This article will help you understand statuses and how to use them when searching.

The search screen has options to view active sources or all sources (active and inactive).

All Sources = Sources both active and inactive

Available Sources = Active sources

Primary Sources = Active sources with your newsroom as their home organization.

This is an active source. There are two types, Enrolled and Engaged.  Enrolled sources are sources in the PIN that have 0 or 1 incoming activities (see below for list of incoming activities).  Engaged sources have 2 or more incoming activities.

This is an inactive source.  A source may be inactive because they have unsubscribed or their email address is invalid and has not been corrected.

I just searched for a source and he showed up in the "All sources" and not "available sources" even though he recently came into PIN by filling out a form. I clicked on him to see if he had already unsubscribed but his status is listed as : "Active - (Not Found) (N)

What does this mean? It is not mentioned in the training materials. How do I get him to show up in available sources?

Molly, in AIR2, the status is now Inactive-No Primary Email (N).  A valid primary email address needs to be added to the source's profile to make him Active again.
