What is the Signup form and how does it work?

Peter Rasmussen -

Update 07/16/14 JE

Every PIN newsroom has a sign up page.

These forms behave just like other forms with a few additional features:

  • If it is the source's first time completing the form, they will receive an automated welcome email.  If they subsequently complete a signup form for the same newsroom, or any other newsroom in the PIN, they will not receive a second automated welcome email.
  • The responses will be imported into AIR like any other form.  If the source is already in the PIN and there are conflicts (e.g. there is a match on the email address but a conflict on the name, this will be flagged in the alerts section of AIR for conflict resolution)

Your newsroom's signup form URL is...:

Every signup form follows the same URL format: https://www.publicinsightnetwork.org/signup/[newsroom short name]
